A clearer plan for the work your home needs.
Roofing, siding, driveway work, and interior or exterior projects need different information before an estimate can be useful. Start with the problem you want solved and the result you want. You do not need to diagnose the cause yourself.
Choose the right starting point.
| Your project | Details that help |
|---|---|
| Roofing | Describe missing or damaged shingles, signs of a leak, or plans for replacement. Mention the approximate roof age if known. |
| Siding | Describe the existing material if known, the affected areas, and whether you are considering repair, replacement, or a different look. |
| Driveway work | Describe the current surface, approximate area, cracking or drainage concerns, and how you use the driveway. |
| Interior and exterior work | Identify the rooms or outside areas involved, the changes you want, and any work that has already started. |
Have several projects? Choose “Multiple projects / not sure” on the estimate form and list the work in your message. Nathan will discuss whether the scope is a fit and what needs to be reviewed.
What should I include in my request?
- Location: the project address in Des Moines or Polk County.
- The problem or goal: what is happening and what you would like changed.
- Timing: whether the work is urgent, planned for a particular period, or flexible.
- Access and constraints: occupied areas, parking, pets, or other practical details that affect a visit.
- Photographs: mention if you have pictures. Nathan can arrange a way to receive them during follow-up.
The online form starts a conversation. It does not book a visit, establish a price, or reserve a construction date. Avoid sharing private documents in the message field.
Compare the scope before comparing the price.
Two estimates can describe very different work. Ask for the proposed work in writing and check which items are included, excluded, or still subject to a site review.
- Materials, quantities, finish selections, and the areas covered.
- Removal, disposal, site protection, and cleanup.
- Responsibility for permits or inspections, where applicable.
- How previously concealed conditions and changes will be priced and approved.
- Expected timing, payment milestones, and any warranty terms.
Discuss these details before agreeing to the work. Do not assume an item is included because it appeared in a different estimate or a website photograph.
